According to the data of Wind, as of 22: 40 pm on December 5th, Beijing time, the onshore RMB exchange rate against the US dollar rose by more than 900 basis points in the day, with an increase of 1.29%, reaching a maximum of 6.9440; The offshore RMB exchange rate against the US dollar, which reflects the expectations of more international investors, also rose by more than 800 basis points in the day, reaching 6.9306 at the highest. Both onshore and offshore RMB exchange rates against the US dollar rose above the "6.95" mark.
The strong rebound of RMB exchange rate against the US dollar has been going on for some time. On the whole, the onshore RMB exchange rate against the US dollar has closed up in the last four trading days, with an increase of 4.69% since November, exceeding 3,400 basis points.
In addition, according to the data of China Foreign Exchange Trading Center, on December 5th, the central parity rate of RMB against USD was reported at 7.0384, up 158 basis points from the previous value. From November 1st to December 5th, the central parity of RMB against the US dollar rose by 1697 points.
